As a lifelong learner with a passion for community engagement and collaborative arts, she's created curricula campaigns alongside non-profits that advocate for black, queer, and marginalized communities. Organizations include ExpandED Schools, The African American Policy Forum, Broadway Advocacy Coalition, and the National Urban League; all of which have influenced and continue to shape her work at Jeff Kornblau Partners for Patient Advocacy. In her role as Community Outreach and Development Coordinator, Geanina employs her knowledge of event planning, fundraising, while building intentional community networks, to recruit clients, donors, and volunteers.  She raises awareness of the critical need for patient advocacy among all populations, especially marginalized communities, and embraces JKPPA’s mission to empower patients to improve their experiences and outcomes.

Geanina’s interdisciplinary practice as an artist/educator drives her. Since starting her position at JKPPA in June, Geanina has organized events with community centers throughout the greater Philadelphia area, collaborated on the development of our JKPPA website and our donor & client management systems.

Her commitment to equity frameworks earned her the LGBTQ Center Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advocate of the Year Award. In all of the positions she’s held, Geanina has integrated radical joy to strengthen work culture and interpersonal relationships.
